Logo – the face of our brand

The new logo is firmly anchored in the design of its predecessor with changes made to highlight a sense of purity, freshness and brand recognition.

Logo

The logo consists of three parts. The background shape – called brand ellipse – the HARTMANN typeface, and the cross as brand icon on the lower right edge.

Logo versions

Different versions of our logo are required to ensure consistency.

Primary logo

Whenever possible you should always use our primary logo on the HARTMANN Bright Blue background. When production restrictions impair our logo’s quality, refer to one of our secondary logo variants shown there.

Exceptional cases: mono-color versions

Usage of this version is allowed when the print process cannot technically be done with the standard versions.

Usage of this version is allowed when the print process cannot technically be done either with the standard, mono-color version or positive version.

Usage of this version is allowed whenever the print process cannot technically be done with the other versions of the HARTMANN logo.

Logo dimensions and exclusion zone

To ensure the integrity and impact of our logo we need to keep a clear space around it and ensure a minimum size.

Corporate signature

The brand icon comes from the original 1883 logo. It stands for helping, caring and protecting, and reflects our medical heritage and expertise. The cross and the oval must always be used as a unit.

When to use
If the logo size is smaller than 18 mm in print and below 50 px on screen, then the brand icon needs to be used instead.

Claim versions – Below logo shape

In the standard version the claim is below the logo. It has the same width as the word HARTMANN. The font is Panton Semibold with -38Pt tracking. If the claim has to be enlarged, it is drawn to the right and enlarged to a maximum width of 2x HARTMANN. Once the claim is higher than 7 mm, the distance to logo shape has to be enlarged from 1x horizontal H to 1.5x horizontal H.

Claim versions – Right, next to logo shape

In case the claim is on the right, next to the logo shape, then the maximum size is as shown in version 1 below. It has a height of 1 H. Maximum height is 2x H with 2x H distance to logo shape.

Local claim versions

The font size of the claim always has to be the same as in the English claim starting point. The font is still Panton Semibold with -38Pt tracking unless the character set does not allow this. If the claim has to be enlarged or placed next to the logo shape please check the requirements for the standard version.

Local claim versions – Exceptions

There are some countries where the translation of the claim does not fit with the width of the word HARTMANN. In this case, there are two logo variations. These exceptions only apply to the the following countries:

Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine.
