AI-generated content must be clearly identified where required by platform guidelines, legal requirements, or communication standards. However, implementation differs depending on the platform and use case.
We distinguish between two approaches:
- Content-level labeling
Direct labeling applied to an image, interface element, or individual piece of content.
- Platform-level disclosure
A general disclosure statement placed on a website or platform explaining that AI-generated content or imagery is used.
For HARTMANN websites, AI-generated content is generally disclosed through a contextual note on the website rather than by applying labels directly onto individual assets.
Two approved AI labeling elements are available for applications where direct labeling is required.
